BETTANE & DESSEAUVE 2020
INSIDE BURGUNDY JASPER MORRIS 2019
Bright vigorous colour, with an attractive mix of fruit and oak on the nose. Concentrated dark fruit, quite fry at the back as the tannins kick in. There is a good intensity of dark raspberry fruit however which should emerge in command in due course, but this wine will need time.
VINOUS NEAL MARTIN 2019
The 2016 Pommard Les Pezerolles 1er Cru has a more powerful and denser bouquet than its peers. Raspberry, crushed strawberry and earthy aromas are well defined although, it clearly require bottle age. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle but firm tannins, very well balanced with a tangible mineral undertow and a poised and quite persistent finish. Excellent - and great ageing potential to boot. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.
