BETTANE & DESSEAUVE 2015
ROBERT PARKER BY NEAL MARTIN 2015
It has an introspective bouquet : touches of lemon curd and linden, more spiciness coming though here. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry although it doese not quite deliver the complexity and tension that I was anticipating. It is still well balanced and harmonious, yet it is holding something back on the conservative finish.
WINE ENTHUSIAST 2014
The wood is still very present in this young wine, giving acidity and creamy, toasty character. The wine, as it develops, will become ripe, full of yellow fruits and honey while always keeping that great acidity. Since it needs to age, drink from 2018.
WINE SPECTATOR 2014
Well-marked by vanilla and toast notes from the oak, backed by sufficient substance. The lemon, peach, hazelnut and mineral flavors ride the vivid structure. Persistant and balanced overall.
BURGUNDY BRIEFING SARAH MARSH MW 2014
Pink aroma, sweet flowery fragrance. It is sweet on the attack too, quite ‘light’ frothy and then really quite sweet on the end of the palate. I like the acidity though it undercuts and is fresh and long.
